So, I know it might be a little late to post gifts, but I'm almost certain some people save Valentine's Day planning to the last minute {not naming anyone}.   .....loungewear. Working from home means that I get to take a shower and then put house pants back on, and while this may not be the most fashionable thing, it's certainly the most comfortable. So now I'm kind of obsessed with cute pjs, and any of these would be perfect for lounging.

happy super bowl weekend!

I can't believe it's February, feels like we were just getting ready for Christmas! I'm super excited that it's February though, because this weekend is the Super Bowl! It's no secret that I've become a huge football fan, and while my team may not have even made it to the playoffs this year, and my other team is a joke, this game is extremely exciting because Jacob's team is in it! Being a Baltimore/DC fan has left him skeptical in recent years, but the super bowl run made by the Ravens this year has been inspiring, and has given him hope. I, being the great wife that I am, will be cheering for the Ravens right along with him on Sunday. Nothing against the 49ers, in fact I love San Francisco, and it was so much fun to watch their last game at a bar in SF, but this game belongs to Baltimore, so, fingers crossed. 

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend, with lots and lots of chicken wings and beer!

Is there anything more girly than a new collection from Kate Spade? Perfect for kicking off February! I'm kind of obsessed with all some of these pieces. The use of bows and thick rimmed glasses may not be that original, but this collection makes them look fresh and new. And, how perfect is that colorblocked dress for Valentine's day? Seriously, I need. 

back in the pile

After a month long vacation, we're back in Savannah, and, while it may not be under the best circumstances, it's still good to be home. We had a blast eating & drinking our way through California, I feel like I'm still recovering. Here are some of the photos from the west coast, since we always forget to bring an nice camera, I only have instagrams to share, but they'll have to do. 

We had an amazing honeymoon, very relaxing, while still kind of busy. One of the best things about going to California was that we were able to visit with a lot of our friends, and a lot of breweries... which might have been Jacob's favorite part. 

Now it's back to the daily grind, so to speak anyway, but the weather here in Savannah is making it slightly easier.

sunday sweets {winter warm up & a nice escape}

Just wanted to pop by and update you on a few little things.

 First off, I wanted to share this sweet shoot I was able to do with Andrea {Gray Harper Event Maker} and Jade {Jade + Matthew Take Pictures}.The shoot was featured on The Sweetest Occasion last week. While it may not get too chilly in Savannah {it's 80 now}, this sunny cocktail & spicy chocolate pudding combo is perfect for warming up a cold winter afternoon. We had so much fun putting it together, and even more fun consuming both later. 

In other news, Jacob and I decided to take advantage of the slow winter travel season, by taking our honeymoon. So right now I'm typing this from Napa, CA in  our sweet fancy condo {hotel upgrade}, next to a fire place and overlooking a vineyard, not too shabby. We're taking this time to relax {something that hasn't happened in a while}, and also to fill ourselves with excellent food, wine, & beer. We spent the last couple of days with dear friends in San Diego doing just that, three days, 8 different breweries {i'm ready to switch to wine}.
