food is good.

FIG, in charleston, is one of my all time favorite restaurants. i mean how could you not fall in love with a restaurant that offers pork trotters as an appetizer and suckling pig as an entree... unless of course you're a vegetarian, which i most certainly am not.

for my birthday this year, jacob surprised me with a trip to charleston, and dinner at FIG. aside from the amazing food, which i could go on and on about, their wine and cocktail list is pretty impressive. take their honeysuckle cocktail for instance. light and smooth, with the perfect amount of sweetness, was the loveliest end to a hot summer day.

we recreated the drink a couple of nights ago for a dinner party at the house, and they went over big. try it out, you may have a new crush.

Honeysuckle Cocktail
1.5 oz Pisco Capel
.5 oz St. Germaine
1 oz Grapefruit juice
.25 oz lime juice
3 drops of rose water
