My mother held my New York shower in our backyard, and it was amazing. We cooked for 3 days, and I baked four different pies. We've been collecting an absurd amount of mason jars for the wedding, so we decided to use those for the center pieces, drink glasses, and individual banana pudding, which were amazing.
It was a surprisingly hot day in Upstate NY but as soon as the shower started, so did the breeze, so I was incredibly thankful for that. We had such a lovely time with the ladies that came, and it was wonderful to have my whole bridal party there and my family. They put out a table with beautiful pieces of paper and a large mason jar, where people could write down memories or tips for me. It was one of my favorite parts, the things people wrote were so sweet and it's something I'll definitely keep for a long time!
That night, my sisters and bridal party took me out for my bachelorette party, complete with a limo and champagne. It was so much fun! Now that the parties have begun, it all feels real.
Two months! I can't believe it!
We just got married at this place and it was amazing! It was lovely, the staff was great, and it was the perfect size for our wedding (100 people).
