Elderflower: a story of obsession.

Be still my heart.

If you have been paying attention to any of my blog posts concerning cocktails, dessert recipes, or foodie gifts, you are fully aware of my obsession with Elderflower liqueur. Today I came across an Elderflower Presse from Belvoir Fruit Farms, a natural, lightly scented soda made with elderflowers, lemon juice, and sparkling water. This heavenly treat hails from the UK and is apparently only available online.

This particular development angers me. Upon seeing this soda, I became thirsty for it's floral deliciousness. Then, immediately following this feeling of thirst, came the inevitable longing for the bottle. I mean look at that label. There appears to be hand-rendered script, metallic ink, and hand-drawn flowers, three of my favorite design elements. Speechless. I think it's absolutely necessary for me to purchase at least two bottles of this. My plan is to drink one, rinse it out, put peonies in it, and then, while drinking the second one, admire it's beauty. Doesn't that sound lovely?

  2. haha thanks! You can add it to almost any drink, really, it's kind of like the ketchup of the bar. I really like hendricks gin gimlets with a splash it, or elderflower with champagne, or elderflower, club soda and chambord... .there's also the Honeysuckle cocktail which is
    1.5 oz Pisco Capel
    .5 oz St. Germaine Elderflower
    1 oz Grapefruit juice
    .25 oz lime juice
    3 drops of rose water
